AI-assisted weighing of interests under Art. 3 of the Spatial Planning Ordinance with five specialised AI agents (FACTS, PRO, CONTRA, LAW, MODERATOR). Court-proof along eight Federal Supreme Court criteria, Word export.
AI-assisted screening of whether a project is subject to an environmental impact assessment (EIA). Checked against the Environmental Protection Act and the EIA Ordinance by facility type, thresholds and site factors, with a traceable justification.
AI-assisted calculation of building zone capacity for municipalities. Population forecasts (STATPOP), land reserves, densification potential and scenarios according to cantonal structure plan requirements.
Swept paths without a CAD licence: load the base plan as DXF or DWG, click the carriageway centreline, calculate the swept path with the tractrix model (based on VSS SN 640 271a). With VSS standard vehicles, conflict checking against the plan geometry and export as DXF, PDF or PNG.
Automatic meeting minutes by AI. Upload an audio recording and receive structured minutes – ideal for municipal assemblies, meetings and workshops. GDPR-compliant, hosted in the EU.
Digital calculation of the value capture levy for municipalities (Canton of Zurich). Cantonal levy (rezoning into building zones: 20%) and municipal levy (upzoning and rezoning: 0–40%).
Automated site assessments based on official geodata. Links swisstopo, the PLR cadastre and cantonal GIS data into a structured assessment of parcels and sites.
AI assistant for Swiss planning law. Ask questions in natural language and receive traceable answers on the Spatial Planning Act, the ordinance, cantonal requirements and case law.
Professional planning reports at the push of a button. Generates canton-compliant, traceable and exportable reports from planning data, from the baseline analysis to the finished document.
AI-assisted comparison of development scenarios and planning variants for inward development. Compare densification options, use mix and land efficiency in a structured way.
An AI agent that makes planning and administrative archives searchable. Finds decisions, reports, plans and case files in natural language, with source references, instead of digging through folders and PDFs.
An AI agent for proposals and offers. Searches previous proposals, fee rates and text modules in the company archive and supports the drafting of new offers, consistently and in minutes instead of hours.
Experiments, not promises
SPEKTRUM LAB is not a product, it is a place to think. We develop AI prototypes at the intersection of spatial planning, public administration and new technologies. Not everything will work. Some of it surprises us, too.
What emerges here is born from practice and teaching: from municipalities that have to calculate their building zones, from planning firms that document the weighing of interests, from authorities that compute value capture levies. Real problems, real experiments.
